In mid June 12 motivated girls met in Chamonix to go climbing for a week. We started with two days in rock and ice, building belays and doing other safety related stuff. After that, we went climbing every day although the weather didn’t make it easy at the start. First it was cold and snowing, then only raining hard, but finally the sun came out and we managed to go up into the mountains for three days, doing classic alpine objectives and some rock climbing on Chamonix’s famous granite spires. In the end we had the difficult job to nominate only six of the 12 for the new women’s expedition team. Thanks to everybody for the motivation and the good time!
